It’s yet another boost for the Mount Forest Outdoor Pool with the Township of Southgate pledging support.
The township has committed $250,000 towards the construction of the pool.
The Township informed Wellington North on May 28th they had passed a motion in council to put forward $50,000 a year for five years to a reserve account which will be held by the Township of Southgate until construction of the pool begins.
Councilor Sherry Burke and Chair of the Mount Forest Aquatics Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee says this contribution is a testament to the long standing spirit of collaboration between our two communities.
With the committment from Southgate, total fundraising has now reached over $1million.
