The Soft Hearts Initiative with Wellington County OPP has been a smashing success.
Back in October, police launched the initiative to partner with the community to help comfort children who experience traumatic events.
Since its inception, OPP say the project has seen waves of success in the Teviotdale, Fergus and Rockwood detachments who have frequently received handmade crochet plushies to be given to children in need and used to help ease children in times of upheaval in their lives.
Wellington County OPP are sending their thanks to members of the public who have donated their time and effort to collaborate with them.
