The SIU has invoked its mandate after an arrest by Wellington County OPP.
On February 23rd at around 5:30pm, OPP arrested and charged one person in connection to a criminal investigation.
The accused was held for a bail hearing when the next day the suspect told officers of an injury and was taken to hospital for assessment.
The suspect was released from hospital and then returned to custody.
The OPP have notified the SIU of the incident and their mandate has been invoked.
