Perth OPP were called to the scene of Stratford Municipal Airport around 9:30 am this morning.
Any details regarding the loss of life have not been released.
Police are working with Transport Canada on the investigation.
Perth Line 43 was closed between Road 109 and Road 110 to facilitate the investigation of the crash of the single-engine plane.
