Shoppers Drug Mart Recalling Previously Recalled Baby Formula

Shoppers Drug Mart is recalling certain Abott brand powdered infant formula products due to possible Cronobacter sakazakii and Salmonella contamination.

This recall is due to an error at Shoppers Drug Mart as the product had previously been recalled on February 17th by the Government of Canada, but some were sold online in error.

Food contaminated with Cronobacter sakazakii or with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but it can make you sick. If you think you have gotten sick from consuming a recalled product, call your doctor.

Cronobacter sakazakii is not commonly linked to human illness, but in rare cases it can cause serious or fatal infections.
