It was another successful year for Mapletons Shine Your Light Sunflower Tour/Run which celebrated its third year.
The one day event held last weekend by Leona Ottens on her farm near Moorefield was complete with live music, 19 market vendors, the Drayton Kinsmen serving up food and ice cream alongside the Alma Optimists and a run through the sunflower fields.
The tour raised money for the Palmerston & District Hospital with the run helping newcomers from Ukraine in the region.
Around $13,000 has been raised from the tour and $2500 from the run.
Leona was presented with a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee pin by Perth-Wellington MP John Nater.
