Shelley Blackmoore has been named as the Liberal candidate for MPP in Huron-Bruce.
She was joined alongside provincial party leader, Stephen Del Duca in Brussels Wednesday night for the launch of her campaign.
The former teacher is looking to help bring a voice for Huron-Bruce to Queen’s Park.
“There’s a lot of things in Huron-Bruce that need to be fixed and addressed. I guess I felt we needed a fresh perspective.” said Blackmoore.
Del Duca says Blackmoore is more than qualified saying she will know to address local concerns.
“She knows that area, she knows the issues. As I said, she is working relentlessly hard. I think when you see the rest of our platform start to come out you’ll see we have a plan that will move every part of Ontario.” said Del Duca
Part of Blacmoore’s policy includes expanding social service and addressing a lack of public transit in rural communities.
Canadians will head to polls next June.
