Locals looking to add education and skills under their belt at no cost to them now have the opportunity in North Perth.
Set7 has expanded to North Perth with the North Perth & Region Skills and Technology Learning Hub held at the Elma Memorial Community Centre in Atwood.
Various programs are being run in February which benefits both potential workers and employers.
Carmen Reis, Project Manager with Set7 explains some of the benefits they’ve already been able to provide.
“Some training such as getting their safe food handling and customer service training, a lot of small companies take advantage of that. We also have done some learning to read engineering drawings for folks working in bigger companies and for folks across the region.” said Reis.
Space is limited for the programs for the month which focuses on Women of Steel, Supervisor Training, Construction Specialization and Manufacturing Specialization.
