Second Person Succumbs to Injuries from Monday Afternoon Crash in Mapleton

The Wellington County OPP have released the names of the two victims from a collision between a commercial motor vehicle and a pickup truck at the intersection of Wellington Road 8 and 10 in Mapleton Township on Monday afternoon at approximately 3:30pm.

The driver of the pickup was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The passenger was airlifted to a nearby trauma centre with life-threatening injuries where they were later pronounced deceased.

The driver has been identified as 76 year old Robert Geffs and the passenger as 29 year old Mark Albrecht, both were from the Tiverton Area.
