A Georgian Bluffs company has been fined as part of a workplace injury at a Mount Forest construction project.
Reilly’s Roofing Ltd and Adam Reilly, the Director and Officer for the company have been fined after a worker was critically injured who fell from a ladder at a residential construction project.
The incident took place December 22nd 2023 and to get to the roof, a worker climbed a ladder placed on frozen, uneven ground which was not secured at the top or bottom.
The province saying the company and its director failed to ensure required fall protection measures were in place for work performed at height.
Following guilty pleas in court, Reilly’s Roofing was fined $130,000 while Adam Reilly was fined $15,000.
