Today marks 12 years since volunteer firefighters Ken Rea and Raymond Walter lost their lives in a blaze at a dollar store in Listowel.
Both Walter and Rea entered the burning building on March 17th 2011 to search for anyone who might have been trapped when part of the building caved in.
Each year the North Perth Fire Department fly the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation flag at the Atwood and Listowel fire stations, where Ken and Raymond served.
Fire Chief Janny Pape says they continue to remember and honour their fallen, and support their families with these traditions.
