Officials with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health say a positive case of COVID-19 at Centre Wellington District High School is likely an Omicron variant.
A letter sent out to parents on December 12th wrote officials are working to manage cases and contacts related to the case.
The letter also notes much remains uncertain about the new variant including the risk of severe infection and its increased ability to transmit to others.
Those who are not contacted by public health are not considered high risk but are still asked to monitor for symptoms.
