Provincial Inspection Report on Caressant Care Arthur showed issues at facility

A Provincial Long Term Care Inspection report has been released on Caressant Care’s Arthur facility that showed they failed to separate Covid-positive residents from others when the outbreak began.

They were also found to not co-hort workers into dedicated groups which put residents and staff at risk of further transmission the report continues.

An outbreak at the facility infected 57 residents and 63 staff and led to 19 residents deaths was declared over yesterday.

The home received a written notice and a compliance order in the report dated January 12^th.

This was the day before North Wellington Health Care took over operation of the long term care home.
