Perth County OPP have expanded Project Safe Trade which is now open in West Perth.
Project Safe Trade operates a safe space in the public for those to practice a safe purchase interaction from things sold online on places such as Facebook marketplace.
Two parking spots have been designated a s a Safe Trade zone located on Wellington Street in the parking lot across from the Mitchell Fire Hall.
These spots are marked with signs and the public is encouraged to use them as a community safe to move online marketplace transactions away from secluded areas or private residents and do the interaction in public spaces.
North Perth its own Project Safe Trade space in the municipal building parking lot.
