Pressure has been on Premier Ford since he first announced new restrictions which forced all golf courses to close in Ontario.
Since then many have called on the government to reverse the decision saying golf is safe and obeys all social distance protocols while on the course. A change.org petition has gained almost 100,000 signatures as of Monday.
The petition says many courses are small businesses which employ many adding with restrictions set last summer, it remains safe to do so.
Since the start of the pandemic there hasn’t been a single COVID-19 case associated with any golf course in Ontario.
Premier Ford has said the announcement of tighter restrictions was to limit mobility.
