Heading into November, it’s as busy as ever for Legion branches across the country and Listowel is no exception.
The Poppy Campaign officially kicked off Friday with members at multiple locations across town collecting donations and offering poppies.
The donations collected all stay within the community to support veterans.
As usual for Remembrance Day, the Listowel Legion will be standing on guard at the Cenotaph.
Casey Fraser with the Listowel Legion says they’ll be starting early, leading up right up the service.
“”The standing at the Cenotaph will start at 6am and will be there until the start of the service at 10:50” said Fraser.
The annual service will start at around 10:50am on November 11th with lunch being served after at Parkview Gardens with a dinner also available for purchase.
