On Wednesday, April 28th just after 9:30pm the Perth County OPP received a report of a robbery that had just occurred at Listowel Memorial Park.
The suspect had assaulted two youths, stole a backpack and 2 scooters. There were no weapons used and victims were not injured. The backpack and 1 scooter were recovered at the time. The second was located abandoned the following day.
The suspect was observed on Thursday, May 6th in the area of Armstrong Street West. The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle then on foot but was located hiding in a backyard nearby.
As a result a 17 year old of no fixed address has been charged with robbery with violence and failure to comply with a sentence.
The accused was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
