Police Identify Victim of Fatal Collision in Perth East Yesterday

Perth County OPP have released the name of the person who died as a result of a collision between a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle near Shakespeare yesterday morning.

The driver has been identified as Jacob Hertzberger, 19, of Blandford-Blenheim Township.

Police, along with Perth County Paramedics and Perth East Fire responded to the scene at Perth Line 34 (Highway 8), between Road 102 and 104 in Perth East.

The driver died at the scene.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation and members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team are assisting Perth County OPP.
