Perth County OPP have charged two men who were seen impaired with one assaulting police after a call at a campground.
On July 11th just before midnight, Perth County OPP attended a local campground in West Perth over a driver was said to be operating impaired.
After interacting with both the driver and passenger they had tried to flee on foot with the passenger assaulting an officer.
As a result a 45 year old man of Cambridge was charged with Operation While Impaired, Resisting an officer and Failure to Stop for Police.
A 37 year old man of St Marys was charged with Assaulting an Officer with a Weapon, two counts of Assaulting an Officer and Resisting a Peace Officer. Both will appear in court next month.
