A Sarnia man is being remembered for his love of aviation. 65 year old John Allan Shelley Jr passed away last Tuesday after a plane crash near the Stratford Municipal Airport just after 9am in an open field.
An obituary posted by Smith Funeral Home shares John as the general manger of a family business, Shelly Machine and Marine on Plank Road since 2009.
John is always remembered for his love for Harley Davidson road trips, power boats on the Great Lakes, snowmobiling with his family to flying high as a pilot.
The Transportation Safety Board has a team of investigators looking into the incident.
