Wellington North has completed phase 2 enhancements to the West Luther Rail Trail.
This stretch of 5.5km of trail from Wellington Road 16 to the trail head at Eliza Street in Arthur has widened to between 15-17 feet the entire length and trail resurfaced to create a safe and more comfortable experience for walkers and cyclists.
More amenities have also been added such as six benches on the trail, two 10×10 pavilions and a bicycle repair station.
Mayor Andy Lennox says they are extremely grateful to the donour for making these trail improvements possible.
A celebration event to mark the completion of Phase 2 work was held at the Eliza Street trail head on May 21st.
