Upper Grand District School Board Director of Education and CEO Peter Sovran has announced his retirement.
Sovran who will retire at the end of September closes a career spanning over three decades in public education and public service.
The school board says over the last five years, Sovran provided steady and future focused leadership through a period of significant change for public education.
Current Associate Director, Brent McDonald will be the newest Director/CEO of the Board.
Brent started his education career in 1994 who in 2001 became Vice-Principal of the Board and principal of Priory Park Public School in 2010.
