Perth-Wellington residents donated a total of $912,469 to federal political parties in the years following the Liberal’s 2015 election victory through to the end of 2020 according to analysis of Elections Canada political donations data.
Across Canada, Perth-Wellington ranked 117th out of 338 ridings for total donations.
The total for donations greater than $200 made to parties was above the national average of $853,000 per riding.
Perth-Wellington’s numbers showed the Conservative Party received the largest number of support from local donors, bringing in $431,583 or 47 per cent of donations.
