For a 4th straight term, Perth-Wellington is represented by the Conservatives but its a new face for the PC’s following Randy Pettapieces retirement.
Support came in strong for Matthew Rae who wins his first election campaign.
The 32 year old who grew up on a dairy farm north of Harriston has a set of priorities for the riding as tackled in debates such as rural broadband, long term care and affordability. Rae says the support seen has been overwhelming.
“It’s great to have the support and trust of the voters in Perth-Wellington, I look forward to earning that trust over the next four years and working with our community partners, municipal leaders and everyone in Perth-Wellington to continue to get things done in our riding.’ said Rae.

Laura Bisutti from the Green Party speaking over the phone saying it was great to see an increase of support for the party locally from the previous election and will look further to growing the party within Perth-Wellington.
Ashley Fox writing on social media, thanking her supporters and volunteers adding they made a significant improvement for the Liberals from 2018.
Perth-Wellington saw a voter turnout of 49.9 per cent.
