On January 26th just before 9:45 am Perth County OPP, Perth East Fire Department and Perth County Paramedics responded to a fire at a motel on Forest Road, east of Stratford. The structure was fully engulfed.
Sometime overnight on January 29th to 30th, unknown suspects entered the damaged building, and stole property which included a clock, alcohol and gasoline.
The scene had been cleared by police and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall and was unoccupied at the time of the theft.
