Perth County Paramedics will be introducing the Medical Priority Dispatch System for all medical 911 calls in Perth County.
The MPDS is built on decades of medical research and best practices which helps ensure that dispatch decisions are consistent, informed and tailors to each patients needs.
Previous systems used a first come, first serve basis with the new system supporting a more clinically drive approach.
The system optimizes paramedic resources, prioritizes the most urgent 911 calls, and ensures the right care at the right time for people.
