Just after 11pm last night the police stopped a 34 year old North Person resident and found that they were driving with double the legal limit using the roadside screening device. The driver was arrested and faces charges of operation while impaired 80 plus, failure to surrender license, failure to surrender permit of vehicle and failure to surrender insurance card.
The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
The police ask if you suspect anyone is driving while being impaired, either by drug or alcohol, call police at 911 immediately to report it.
