Perth County announced Emergency Child Care program for Essential Workers

On December 21st the Province of Ontario announced that from January 4th to 8th emergency child care would be provided to support essential workers with care for their school aged children. These spaces will be allocated in chronological order from the application date and will only be available to those who are on the list of eligible workers for emergency child care who have exhausted all other possibilities for child care.

In addition to the Anne Hathaway Day Care Centre, the City of Stratford has partnered with Perth Care for Kids and the Municipality of North Perth to provide emergency child care for eligible workers and their school aged children.

Centres with Care Available to Eligible Workers:

 

Anne Hathaway Day Care Centre, Stratford

7am to 5:30pm

 

Perth Care for Kids (up to 20 school aged children 4-12)

6:30 am to 6pm at Ritz Hall in Mitchell

 

Municipality of North Perth

Spinrite Child and Family Centre (for up to 20 children)

6:30 am to 5:30pm

 

Applications and registration for emergency child care now available. Registration with begin with screening for eligibility by calling the City of Stratford Early Years Coordinator at 519-271-3773 ext. 404. Eligible families will then be contacted by their respective child care program to complete the registration process.

All appropriate health policies and procedures are in place to ensure the safety of all staff, parents and children.
