Charges haven’t been laid after Stratford Police were called about a man carrying a black handgun in the city.
On Thursday at around 12:30pm, Stratford Police were called about the man on Devon Street with police joined with Perth County OPP for an extensive search in the area but not finding the man.
Shortly after 6pm, the man was identified as a 19 year old of Stratford and arrived at his home to determine the firearm was a pellet gun which resembled a glock pistol.
The pellet gun has been seized and further investigation is being conducted if criminal charges will be laid.
