As the pool is set to close for the season at the Perth East Recreation Complex, it’s a coming event for furry friends and fundraising for the Perth East Dog Park.
Paws in the Park is taking place this Saturday at the Bill Gies Pavilion going from 11am-3pm with everyone welcome to attend, bring their dogs to enjoy a swim in the pool, nail trimming, photos, a bake sale and lunch and a silent auction.
There will be varied swim times for senior and small dogs and a general time for all dogs.
Matthew Livingstone, a Committee Member for the Dog Park says as far as fundraising goes, they’re well on their way to the goal.
“The goal would be $25,000 today we sit about $10,000 in already and I’m really happy with everybody’s efforts to get us there in such a short period of time we only started this in the spring.” said Livingstone.
Admission for the event on Saturday will be by donation.
