Parking fines will likely be increasing in Wellington North.
The bylaw will also include electric vehicles and charging station parking spots such as not allowing parking on the curved portion of angled roadway bends.
The fine currently with a parking fine is $20 but will increase to $35 for early payments and a set fine of $45 for most infractions.
The only exception to this increase is those parked in accessible parking spots which will still bring in a $300 fine.
Wellington North does not conduct their own parking enforcement and instead is done by Wellington County OPP.
The bylaw has not yet been approved by council and will first need to be voted once the province gives approval of the move.
