Palmerston resident facing multiple sex related charges

In November of 2020, Wellington County OPP uniform officers and the Crime Unit commences an investigation into a report of a series of historical sexual assaults and other sex-related offences that occured in the Township of Wellington North over a 12 year period of time between 2003 and 2015.

As a result of the investigation, the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit has charged a 43 year old male resident of Palmerston with 6 counts of sexual assault and 4 counts of indecent acts contrary to the criminal code.

The victims and the accused were known to each other.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a Guelph Court on March 2nd to answer to the charges.
