The Palmerston Community Food Bank has celebrated the grand opening of their newest location.
The food bank which was previously In the basement of the Palmerston United Church now operates at 215 William Street, behind the EarlyOn Centre which offers a larger space for more storage and to better serve their clients.
This comes at a time when more and more turn to food banks for help with Palmerston being no exception which has seen from January-June this year, 376 hampers were given with food at costs of $5500.
The food bank is entirely volunteer run to provide those in need as food insecurity continues to grow.
