A recent pork chop dinner in St Marys over the weekend hosted by the St Marys Fire Department saw a great success with more than 450 pork chop dinners given.
Officials are still punching numbers for the total but proceeds from the event at tickets for $25 each were given towards various local charities and causes the fire department supports.
The idea for the fundraiser came up over the course of the pandemic when events were postponed across the area.
