Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home was notified from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health of an essential caregiver for a resident in the Maple Ridge neighbourhood had tested positive for COVID-19.
The caregiver is asymptomatic, was last in the building on February 21st and currently isolating at home. The resident who was visited by the infected is in isolation.
Due to COVID-19 variants spreading in the community, public health is taking all measures at the highest risk and has placed the Maple Ridge neighbourhood in outbreak status for the next 2 weeks.
Families of Wellington Terrace residents have been notified of the on-going situation.
