O’Toole Out, Bergen In as Interim Leader

After the ousting of Erin O’Toole as leader of the Conservative party, the torries have chosen Candice Bergen to lead, at least for the time being.

The Manitoba MP served as a minister of state under former Prime Minister Stephen Harper who was chosen last night out of nine candidates who were running for the interim leader position.

On Wednesday, 73 of the 119 Conservative MPs voted by secret ballot to have O’Toole removed as the leader.
