The Optimist Club of Mornington has created a subcommittee who will head the build of a new “All Wheels Park” in Milverton.
With the approval of the township, the club has moved towards community input as well as fundraising.
The park is intended to be a skate-park with benches for youth and peers to gather.
So far the committee, of club members, Tricia Holmes Storey, Greg Storey, Valerie Yost and Mike Hall have gone forward with the goal for a $215,000 40’ x 60’ All Wheels Park.
The township has agreed to hold funds for the project and committing $20,000.
The Milverton Lions Club has pushed forward with a $10,000 donation and a $4000 grant with the Brian Dale Memorial Fund.
