OPP are asking residents who plan on taking part in any St Patricks Day reveling to do so safely both with physical distancing and handing your keys to a friend.
Certain areas across the province have strict guidelines set for the day or have opted for virtual events to avoid any COVID-19 super spreader events.
In terms of avoiding drunk drivers, OPP West are asking to put your car keys elsewhere.
In 2021 already, OPP West has issued over 200 people with impaired driving so far. OPP advise to have a designated driver, call a cab or enjoy a celebration at home.
