Huron County OPP are sharing a message to teenagers and pre-teens who continue to take part in an online challenge known as “Devious Licks.”
This challenge encourages youth to damage and steal property all while filming the incidents and posting them online, typically to Tik-Tok.
OPP believe this trend was found to be motivation for damage at Bannister Park in Goderich.
Overnight between October 2nd and October 3rd unknown suspects damaged the men’s and women’s washrooms with damage estimated at $3000.
OPP also report incidents occurring at various schools across Huron County.
Police say these types of trends are a quick way to land youth to suspension and criminal charges.
