Officers were called to the scene at approximately 2:13pm this afternoon after a report that a pickup truck had crashed on North Line between Hydro Line and Bridge Road.
Upon crashing the vehicle, which was later determined to be stolen, the driver immediately fled on foot.
Police are asking property owners in the block area of North Line, Roxboro Line, Hydro Line Road and Bridge Road to be vigilant of any suspicious persons and activity on and around their property. They should also ensure they take measures to secure their vehicles, outbuildings and residences.
Members from the West Region ERT and Canine Unit are attending the scene to assist with the search.
If anyone has any information the incident they are asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
