Huron County OPP are reminding drivers that yes, kids are indeed back in school after a long 6 month break of in class learning. For drivers this means having higher awareness around posted school zones and being aware of students getting on and off buses.
Failing to stop a stopped school bus with flashing red lights is a serious offense. First time offense you can be fined $400-2000 and six demerit points on your license.
Huron County OPP will be patrolling around school zones in the coming weeks to ensure drivers are following the rule and the students remain safe.
