OPP remind Everyone to Make Safety a Priority as We Enter Winter Season

The OPP took an opportunity today to urge pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and motorist alike to make safety a priority as the area enters the winter season.

Police say since September OPP West Region members have responded to four fatal collisions of which two involved pedestrians, a cyclist and a motorcyclist.

In each case the drivers reported they couldn’t see the victim before the collision.

They say as the seasons change and night falls earlier, police are urging all road users to take some simple steps to ensure everyone gets where they are going safely.
