It’s become clear, winter is around the corner.
OPP are urging drivers to be prepared for the harsh winter conditions.
South Bruce OPP Inspector Krista Miller says its important to keep some key items in your car such as a flashlight, blanket and portable radio in the event your vehicle stalls or gets stuck on the side of the road.
Miller adds, in many cases for the winter, police aren’t always able to quickly respond to those stuck.
“When we’re really busy, and I can tell you a couple of times in the winter, we’re so busy we can’t get to the vehicles in the ditch.” said Miller.
Drivers are also asked to stay off closed roads as not only is it illegal, but those who get stuck put emergency personnel at risk.
