OPP prepare for Thanksgiving Weekend Operation Impact Traffic Safety Campaign

Perth County OPP says as everyone prepares for the Thanksgiving weekend, police will be focusing their attention on a Provincial Traffic Safety Campaign entitled “Operation Impact”.

It runs from Friday, October 7^th to Monday, October 11^th.

As the holiday weekend sees some of the heaviest traffic volumes the goal of the initiative is to deter aggressive & other high-risk behaviours and reduce the potential of serious collisions from occurring.

There will be enforcement & education on impaired driving, aggressive, inattentive & distracted driving as well as lack or improper use of seatbelts.
