To help local hospitals reduce emergency department wait times and expand bedded capacity the provincial government is investing $3.4 million for hospitals across the region.
Perth Wellington MPP Matthew Rae announced the funding which will mostly be used in Stratford with 2.5 million for bedded capacity and another $260,000 for emergency funding.
Listowel, St Marys, Palmerston and Mount Forest hospitals will each receive $150, 000 for emergency department funding.
