OPP are reminding snowmobile riders that they are on the trails to make sure riders are staying safe.
With winter in full effect, snowmobile trails across the area will begin to open up and OPP will be proactively patrolling the trails in an effort to increase safety for those out on snowmobiles.
Police are reminding residents to ride sober, check your fuel levels before heading out, treat any frozen waterways with caution, carry an emergency kit with a tow rope and to always obey to open Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club trails to determine the safest terrain to ride on.
