Huron County OPP are currently on the scene of a fatal collision involving a horse and buggy

At around 8:17am, Huron and South Bruce OPP alongside Huron County Paramedics and North Huron Fire to respond to the collision located on Howick-Turnberry Road (Huron County #7) near Kieffer Line.

The operator of the horse and buggy was taken to hospital but they were later pronounced deceased.

Two occupants from an SUV were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team continue to be on the scene to assist with investigation.

Howick-Turnberry Road (Huron County Road #7) has been closed between London Road (Huron County #4) in Wingham and Belmore Line (Huron County #12). The road is also blocked at Kieffer Line.

Drivers are asked to take an alternate route.
