OPP issue Road Safety Reminder as We Enter Harvest Season

The Huron County OPP is advising as you drive around the County this fall you will undoubtably encounter farm vehicles.

They say that a safe & cautious driver must be prepared to encounter large slow-moving vehicles at all times.

They add that failing to pay attention and drive safely may lead to a crash that could’ve been avoided.

They say to recognize such vehicles by the organe triangle sign and use caution, stay well back and be prepared to stop.

They also say not all farm vehicles have turn signals so watch for signaling using hand signals.

They also may not be able to pull off the road due to equipment weight or shoulder issues.

They close by saying to leave a wide birth when passing or meeting a farm vehicle and never take a chance when passing.
