Huron County OPP are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash which claimed the life of a Wingham resident.
Tuesday just after 2:30am, Huron County OPP and Huron County Paramedic Services responded to the crash scene located on Blyth Road (Huron County Road 25) just east of Council Line.
First responders found a pedestrian lying on the roadway who had been struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Blyth Road. Despite efforts from first responders, the pedestrian passed away at the scene.
A 41 year old of Wingham has passed away. The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injures but later released.
West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team were on scene to assist with investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Huron OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
