OPP are continuing to encourage everyone to follow set guidelines set on the province as officers conduct enforcement’s.
OPP members are taking necessary actions in response to incidents report under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, Reopening Ontario Act and provincial Stay at Home order. Officers are working with public health, bylaw and other agencies to ensure businesses and the public follow guidelines.
Demonstrators are OPP’s top priority. Charges may not always be laid at time of incident but investigation can result in charges being laid on individuals.
Fines can range anywhere from $750 to $100,000 and can face jail time.
